- SYMPTOMS usually start with excessive urination then hunger, weight loss and
- excessive thirst. Later signs may include nausea, loss of appetite, vaginal
- and other infections, vomiting, blurred vision, impotence and numbness.
- CAUSES involve a disturbance in the body's use of insulin, or inadequate
- production of insulin by the pancreas. Mostly common after 40 years of age.
